Aiguablava

Aiguablava is the most spectacular bay in Begur and one of the most photographed spots on the entire Costa Brava. The name says it all — "blue water" — and the turquoise, crystal-clear water in the sheltered bay surrounded by pine forests and white rocks leaves every visitor speechless. The iconic Parador de Aiguablava stands on the rocky headland at the end of the bay and adds an extra layer of distinction. Directly next to Aiguablava lie the wild Platja Fonda — with dark sand and emerald green water, one of the most beautiful and unspoilt beaches on the Costa Brava — and the small fishing harbour of Fornells.

Aiguablava has no daily facilities of its own. The village of Begur is 4 km away. Property in Aiguablava is extremely scarce and among the most expensive on the Costa Brava — the combination of unique landscape, limited development and high demand keeps prices structurally high.

• Camí de Ronda — connects Aiguablava with Fornells, Platja Fonda and Sa Riera along one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in the region.

• Ses Costes / Aiguablava urbanisation — guarded villa estate directly around the bay, with private setting and sea views. High quality, limited supply.
• Apartments — very limited, small complexes. Popular as a pied-à-terre.
