Benahavís lies in the hills above the Costa del Sol, nestled between Marbella, Estepona and San Pedro de Alcántara. The historic white village has narrow cobbled streets, traditional Andalusian architecture and a reputation as the gastronomic capital of the region — there are more restaurants than residents. At the same time, the municipality of Benahavís is home to an impressive range of luxury golf resorts and gated communities, of which La Zagaleta is the most exclusive in Europe.
