Sa Tuna

Sa Tuna is the smallest and most authentic coastal settlement in Begur — a handful of whitewashed fishermen's houses directly on a sheltered bay, a small beach, a few restaurants and an atmosphere that bears no resemblance whatsoever to a tourist resort. Sa Tuna is one of the most photographed spots on the Costa Brava, not despite but because of its small scale. There is no promenade, no marina, no mass tourism — just the bay, the boats, the houses and the sea. It is a place that has stayed in the same families for generations and where property rarely comes to market.

Sa Tuna has no facilities of its own. Begur is 4 km away. The settlement is connected to Sa Riera and Aiguafreda via the Camí de Ronda.

Beach & nature

• Platja de Sa Tuna — small, sheltered beach with fishing boats on the sand. Atmospheric and authentic, one of the most characterful spots on the Costa Brava.
• Cala s'Arxugador — small rocky cove directly next to Sa Tuna, reachable via a short path. Quiet and clear water.
• Camí de Ronda — connects Sa Tuna with Sa Riera and Aiguafreda along the rugged rocky coast.

Living & property

Property in Sa Tuna is the rarest of all Begur's coastal settlements — the village is so small that properties are almost never available.

• Fishermen's houses on the bay — the iconic white houses directly on the beach. Generational ownership, rarely for sale. When they do come to market, they sell quickly at top prices.
• Hillside villas — a small selection of villas on the slopes around the bay, with sea views and privacy. Slightly more available than the beachfront properties.
